Going to parties where I don’t know most people just reminds me of how much I hate going to parties where I feel like I don’t know anyone. Blergh…
It’s cause every time you meet someone it’s always the same small talk, then if you get nervous you talk a lot, and if they don’t respond positively you think you’re boring them, and if they don’t start a new conversation you think they find you uninteresting, and if they don’t make the first move to talk to you you feel unwanted or unattractive, and at the end of the night you go home a loser.
Anyway, at least I went to a screening of the 1925 Phantom of the Opera which was accompanied by an organ player (meaning the film was playing and the whole music was played by an organ player behind the screen). I was quite amused when I noticed that “Funny Valentine” was a running theme throughout the film. I hadn’t noticed that. Overall it was a really good experience.
Oh well, now time for the Oscars! Any idea where I can watch them online?
